Furnitureplusonline.co.uk reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice, any changes will take immediate effect. We request that you read and accept these terms and conditions each time you place an order.

Placing an order

You can place an order via our website www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk or by contacting us on 0151-343-1064.

After placing an order you will be contacted via email within 24hrs (or next working day) with details of your order and further information. Your data is stored securely with www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk and will not be handed on to any third parties. Alternatively you can place an order over the telephone.

When you place an order with us (www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk) you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email confirmation when we have received your order.

Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will send a further email you to confirm that we accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us. This email will also confirm an estimated delivery timescale. (As stated on individual items on our website)

In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or there is a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this.

Payment

All goods must be paid for prior to delivery – payments can not be taken on delivery. We accept most debit and credit cards, unfortunately we do not currently accept American Express card payments. If ordering through our website, payment will be made in full when you place your order. Alternatively, you can place your order by phone and initially pay a 10% deposit with the balance taken before delivery. 

Delivery

For delivery timescale please see product pages (*Please allow extra 14 days for Scottish Highlands)

We will contact you to arrange a delivery date.

Some smaller items, if bought individually may be delivered by a 1 man courier service which is only delivered to your door.

Deliveries will be delivered by a specialist delivery company. They will contact you directly by telephone/text or email to advise of a delivery date. (Delivery can be between 7am and 9pm) This is usually 2 or 3 days prior to when they will be in your area and it will be a set date as advised by our delivery company. When booking in your delivery they will contact you by text, email or phone to advise of a three to four hour time slot.

Our delivery company will contact you up to three times with different delivery slots. Please help to facilitate delivery by being as flexible as possible. If all three delivery dates are rejected, the goods will then be returned to our warehouse to prevent storage charges being incurred. At this point we will assume you no longer require the goods and we will cancel the order. A refund less any delivery charges incurred will be issued. (We can provide a copy of our delivery invoice if required)

All items featured on this web site are normally delivered to the customer within 7-49 days of purchase. In all cases delivery quotes are not guaranteed but should be regarded as a guide to the anticipated waiting time under normal circumstances. If you order more than one item with different lead times, all items will be delivered at the same time once all items are available.  It is at our discretion to deliver goods in stages if we are waiting for goods to come into stock.

Time of delivery is not of the essence in these terms and conditions. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay or delay due to any unforeseen circumstances which is outside of the control of www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk.

Standard One Man Delivery

We offer Free One Man Delivery on all orders with English & Welsh Postcodes. Delivery to Scotland us available, but with a £29 surcharge applied. This is a one-man delivery service who will take the item into any ground floor room*. The driver has the equipment to offload the item or items from his vehicle and bring them to your property. Assistance may be required for heavy and bulky items especially if there are access issues, stairs or any obstacles to manoeuvre. The delivery company will contact you approximately 2-3 days prior to delivery via email and text message (if a mobile number is provided) with a delivery date and three to four hour time window. If the slot offered is not suitable then the offered date and time can be rejected, and the delivery company will be in touch again with a new slot (please note you may have to wait another week before they are in your area again) You do not have to be in for the delivery as you do have the option to have the order left in a safe place, with a neighbour or to a nearby address.

* Please note some smaller items such as mirrors, bedsides and lamp tables etc showing as in stock with a 2-3 working day timescale will be delivered by a One Man Courier Service to your front door only. Prior to delivery an email will be sent confirming your delivery day. On the day itself you will be sent an email/text with a two hour time slot. You will also be provided with a link to track your order. Delivery to room of choice is available on request, but there is a fee of £25 for this service and for items In Stock with a 2-3 day delivery it will extend the delivery time by 2-3 weeks.

Two Man Delivery

We offer a Two Man Delivery Service to all areas of the UK Mainland for £25. Goods delivered by the delivery company will be placed in the customer’s preferred room, provided that reasonable access is available. Items are delivered boxed and or wrapped. Our delivery drivers do not unbox/unwrap items but will place the item in the room of your choice. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure the furniture they purchase can pass through the doorways, hallways, rooms, staircases to the room of their choice and that parking is available with access that is reasonable. In the event of restricted access the delivery staff will leave the goods at the nearest convenient point for the customer. If goods can not be delivered due to access issues, then the full less any delivery charges incurred by us will apply (to cover delivery costs) and will be deducted from any refund due. (We can provide a copy of our delivery invoice if required)

Partially assembled items will need to be assembled by you the customer. For example; legs may need to be attached to tables etc or wardrobes may need to be assembled. This is to reduce shipping costs but more importantly to help facilitate delivery. If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly by contacting us on our telephone number 0151-343-1064.

ALL SHORTAGES AND/OR DAMAGES TO PROPERTY MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 24 hours, Furniture Plus Online Ltd can except no responsibility for any shortages or damages to property reported after this period. We deliver your goods to the address you provided to us at the time of placing your order. In the event you arrange for our products to be taken outside the UK Mainland, we will only be able to organise, exchange/return for a UK address only. We will not be held liable or responsible for any costs incurred by the customer for the exchange/return of any faulty/damaged items shipped to or from the UK mainland.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are not there to receive your order as arranged or there are access issues, an additional charge of £69 will be required in order to deliver the order again. All items are delivered boxed and are not unwrapped.

If you refuse to take delivery of an order due to the item(s) being boxed/wrapped or the item is smaller/larger than thought then a our delivery costs incurred will be deducted from any refund due. (Please double check all dimensions, any queries please contact us) (We can provide a copy of our delivery invoice if required)

If delivery has been arranged with our delivery company, but you are unable to take delivery as arranged, you must notify us or our delivery company of this before noon, 48 working hours before delivery date is scheduled.

Deliveries cancelled after this time will be chargeable at the full rate incurred by us – (We can provide a copy of our delivery invoice if required)

If a second delivery is missed, then we may deduct the full cost incurred by Furniture Plus for this and for the first failed delivery.

Please take into account before purchasing our furniture that once items are dispatched from our warehouses to our delivery company, a return charge of of any costs incurred by Furniture Plus Online will apply if the customer cancels.(ie the cost of returning the item to us) Therefore it is essential if cancelling an order to let us know immediately to avoid unwanted items being dispatched. (We can provide a copy of our delivery invoice if required)

 

Returns, Refunds and Your Right to Cancel


Under the distance sellers act you have the statutory right to return any products you have purchased within seven (7) working days after delivery for any reason.

However, products must be kept in the same condition as when purchased in the same packaging in which they were delivered and unused, see below for further details.

N.B. For hygiene reasons mattresses are not covered by our returns policy. In addition to your statutory rights we have extended our refund period to thirty (30) days after delivery. Products may be returned for any reason including if you simply change your mind. 

In order to return a product please contact us in writing or email (orders@furnitureplusonline.co.uk) within 30 days after delivery. You will then be entitled to an exchange or a refund from us which will be paid within thirty (30) days of the items being collected. Items must be kept in the condition in which they were purchased (Unused & Unboxed) and in original packaging. We also require photographs to show the goods are boxed and in their original packaging, all corner protectors and polystyrene most also be in place.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item is deemed to be non-resalable. Items requiring assembly must not be assembled in any way or they will not be accepted back. If you no longer have the packaging then we will still take the items back at a £69 charge plus a 15% restocking charge of the items value. You will also need to repackage the item/s to a standard that they are protected for return, also providing a photo as proof. Your refund will be forwarded within a maximum of 30 days from the cancellation. 

Items requiring assembly must not be assembled in any way, they will not be accepted back if they have been assembled. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if any item is deemed to be non resalable.

If you decide to cancel your order within 30 days from delivery the only liability you have is the return charge of £69 per order. Therefore in the event of you returning your goods you will receive a full refund minus just £69, which is the cost to come and collect your goods. If you have paid £25 for a two man delivery, this will not form any part of your refund. ie Order Value £1000 + £25 for two man delivery. Refund Due £931 –  UK Mainland Only. If you wish to exchange your order for another item there will also be a charge of £69. (see above for full T&C’s)

A refund will only be made after the furniture has been collected by our delivery company and will be processed within 30 days from the date of collection (once carrier has returned items to our warehouse for inspection).

Items will be checked to make sure they are in the same condition as when delivered to you and any damages will be deducted from any refund due.
After the thirty (30) day return period has elapsed we will not accept returns on any items.

Refunds – Damaged/Faulty items

If we deliver incorrect or damaged goods, or in the event that you discover any defect in the goods for which you require compensation or other remedy, you must report the defect within 7 days of the date you receive them. Any defects or damages must be reported to us within 7 days and we must be emailed images/photos of the damage/fault within the 7 working days and before any return, repair, refund or replacement is carried out to orders@furnitureplusonline.co.uk

As per the Sale of Goods Act; if an item is found to be damaged on receipt of delivery but only considered as a minor fault or damage by Furniture Plus, we may insist on the item being repaired first by our specialist repair company or exchange the damaged area of furniture. (i.e. drawer, shelf, etc). However, if you are not 100% happy with the repair work undertaken, you are still entitled to a full refund or an exchange.

Please keep the products purchased in the same condition that they were received and retain the original packaging in the condition it was provided. We reserve the right to refuse return of items should the original packaging not be available to allow the safe return via our carriers.  If we receive the goods back with us and they are damaged due to them not being repackaged sufficiently in their original packaging we will charge you for the reduction in value.  Should it be deemed impractical to offer a replacement, redelivery or re-selection of any damaged or faulty items we reserve the right to offer an allowance against a repair, or alternatively a refund for your purchase. We will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from repairs attempted by you or third parties. We will not accept any returns (including damaged items) on self-assembly items which have been assembled. Please fully check your item prior to assembly.

Furniture Plus Online will not be liable for any damage or loss caused by the 3rd party carriers within your property. It is your responsibility to cover any carpets or flooring which may get marked as a result of the delivery.

If any damage does occur during delivery, then this must be reported on the paperwork provided at the time of delivery. Furniture Plus can not be held liable for loss or damage reported after delivery, if the damage has not been brought to the attention of the delivery teams at the time of delivery and written on the paperwork provided.

Variation of Terms & Conditions

www.furnitureplusonline.co.uk reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time and without notice. You will be automatically bound by these modifications when you use the site.
